Cultivating Conversation

Whether you’re a new or a longtime member of the Yale community, we invite you to join the conversation. Come to an event or explore our resources for listening well, speaking with clarity, building trust, and connecting. Cultivating Conversation aims to strengthen our shared capacity and willingness to engage across differences.

Together, we build skills, habits, and community.

Learn With Us

We’re here to help you build skills and connection. Join us for a one-time workshop, or go deeper in one of our fellowship programs. Cultivating Conversation is for the entire Yale community: students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Questions are the foundation of education and scholarship. Breakthroughs can only happen if unorthodox and even provocative questions and ideas are discussed openly. Yale has a long history of bolstering free expression, and we must continue to ensure that Yale is a place where people are free to take intellectual risks, including the risk to disagree and be disagreed with.
